• 2 or more years as a Six Sigma (Black Belt)
• 5 years business, operations, Lean experience (technical or manufacturing)
• In-depth understanding of Lean/Six Sigma philosophy and methods as demonstrated by successfully training in these areas
• TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) experience
• High energy, passion for excellence, bias for action
• A change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead change.
• Motivate others to accept process changes and take ownership
• Successful and effective communicator with people at various levels and in various functions
• Ability to track and report on project Continuous Improvement metrics
• Strong quantitative and analytical capability – strong statistical background and computer literacy a plus
• Understanding of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Minitab and function-specific software required

The Project Leader is a Lean/Six Sigma expert who uses Lean/Six Sigma tools to identify opportunities at the site or within a functional area to improve business results.

You will be measured on supporting, enabling and delivering:
• Sustainability of Kaizens
• Completed KVP suggestions
• Attainment of plant budget
• Reaching Plant waste reduction target
• Number of accidents in the Plant
• Reaching and exceeding Plant service delivery target
• Improving overall quality in the production lines
• 5S Audit results
• Lean Training
• Kaizen Participation
• Implementation and Consolidation of Lean standards/processes such as (Standard Work, hr by hr tracking, 5S, …)

Key Criteria: • Train & deploy Lean and Six Sigma
• Partner with site’s leaders to train and deploy Lean and Six Sigma practices
• Support the select core implementation team members and introduce them to the value steam management process, 5S, visual controls, VSM, Kanban, Daily MDI, etc.
• Assists in selection of teams and individuals to work Lean and Six Sigma implementation opportunities
• Support the development of Lean and Six Sigma training plans, site’s trainers and track progress
• Effectively remove roadblocks as they arise
• Review current and future’s state value stream maps and kaizen proposals
• Facilitate and support Kaizen events
• Communicate to all levels within the organization
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma assessment throughout the site
• Identifying and communicating various Lean and Six Sigma readings, training and benchmarking opportunities
