In line with this launch, Pacific’s co-founder, Richard Yorke, and the Head of Sales for the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector, Owen Marquis, will be in based between Melbourne and Sydney from 2nd October meeting with a number Pacific’s Australian clients.
Throughout the last 10 years, Pacific has been providing Executive Search services, permanent and interim/contractor hires to businesses across the region including two of Australia’s largest banking firms and a Global Insurance giant as they built their transformation organisations. Pacific has been instrumental in helping our clients realise their ambitious talent acquisition plans, including utilising our global network to identify niche skills and subject matter expertise.
With the office launch, our Australian consultants will increase Pacific’s activity in the dynamic Australasian and APAC market at a time of continued growth for our target industries. Regional Operational Excellence and Strategy Leader – Hong Kong / Singapore based
Pacific’s client was one of the ANZ regions’ Big-Five banking organisations embarking on a major global transformation initiative with regional programmes of work being delivered in North America, EMEA, APAC and nationally in Australia. Pacific was engaged to identify a regional OPEX Strategy Lead for Asia to support the regional COO and CFO on delivering efficiency and improvement targets whilst being the focal point for the cultural change activities, including training and development of Operations and Technology teams. Utilising the McKinsey Lean (5 lenses) approach, the chosen candidate was able to deliver $12m AUD bottom-line improvement (YoY run rate) and is now shaping the wider transformation strategy for the region to include the deployment of automation, AI and Machine Learning innovations with the Operations and Finance functions.
Multinational Finance Institution Headquartered in Australia
Over the last four years Pacific has identified talent to support one of the top Australian banks. The client sought to bring in skills supporting a business-wide Operational Excellence initiative. Having extensive knowledge of the latest methodologies from working with practitioners in Europe and the United States, Pacific was able to support this demand quickly and efficiently with both Australian based interims and those from outside the region, fulfilling the need for in-demand skills. Solution Architect APAC Region – Perth/Singapore + National QHSE Manager - Melbourne:
Pacific’s client is a Global Leader in the Telecommunications industry who are in the midst of a global digital transformation with the use of emerging technologies such as IoT and 5G becoming front and centre in the consumers everyday life. Pacific were engaged to source two Solution leaders across the APAC region to utilise design thinking to harness and drive forward innovation within an Agile organisation. These two individuals were bought in the team to be the main points of contact for key clients across the region for the design and implementation of bespoke, high tech communication solutions. They now sit with senior leaders across the organisation to establish the broader innovation strategy around how the business uses these new technologies to solve critical business issues.
Having successfully delivered these resources, Pacific were mandated to support the Executive Leadership team on the build out of their Quality capabilities across Australia. Through the use of quality standards and Lean Six Sigma principles, this individual was required to oversee the National Quality program. From building the strategy to the design and implementation of our clients QMS, certified to various ISO standards such as 9001, 18001, 14001 and ensuring the Continuous Improvement of these systems across the organisation. Working directly with the VP of QHSE and the EVP of the entire organisation, this individual now has an influential voice at the table in the development of the national and global Quality strategy rollout.
