Pacific International’s Technology and Media team have successfully delivered a Process Improvement Director at a leading global telecommunications organisation based in the UK. Seeking to enhance and grow an existing continuous improvement initiative, the project focusses on implementing Lean concepts across the organisation as well as a shift in the company culture to support this change.
Our client required a candidate to join an existing team of 4, all of which Pacific has placed. With the team being at the forefront of change in the business, they emphasised the need for an individual who is experienced in business process excellence as well as the ability to train across all levels of the business on new and existing Lean practises and improvement. The crux of the role is to turn theory and methodology into measurable results across the entire organisation, adapting and applying general Lean practises such as Kaizen and Six Sigma methodologies.
Already having a deep understanding of the role and the cultural fit of the team, Pacific’s consultants conducted a targeted search, particularly focussing on candidates with a wealth of senior telecommunications experience in global organisations. Once engaged with the candidate, the entire end-to-end process took less than a month due to our strong relationship with the client and an efficient process from both sides.
Speaking of the project, Pacific’s Sahar Akhtar said: ‘The client is an exciting organisation to work with as they are at the forefront of technology and innovation. It has been a positive experience to further develop our existing relationship with them, whilst also building a completely new relationship with the candidate.’
