Pacific International News – Pacific Places Four Candidates at Leading Engineering Firm

Working in the Electrical Manufacturing and Industrial Automation industries and specialising in test and measurement equipment, our client required three Product Managers and one Product Marketing Manager to assist in the repositioning and revitalisation of the go-to-market (GTM) strategy at the organisation. Although this project was based in the US, they are a global organisation, operating in 55 countries and in 2018, they announced their global transformation business plan. Led by Kathryn Williams from our London office and supported by Andrew O’Connor in our office in Philadelphia, the permanent roles were filled using our extensive network of experts.

Pacific International are the first organisation to assist with the new GTM strategy which resulted in placing experienced product and marketing managers into the newly created team. The clients previous marketing strategy was based upon traditional methods, so to progress this, they spotted the opportunity to bring in individuals with a fresh outlook who are able to take a modern and innovative approach to marketing in terms of their products and how the organisation interacts with its customers. These new positions will assist in the growth of the company through change, fresh ideas and a move to being more agile. This initiative is going to be grown, in part, from the training and development of employees which is an important element of all four of these roles, therefore Pacific focussed on individuals with extensive market knowledge, a wide range of capabilities and high potential.

Pacific has an existing relationship with the client, as well as an in-depth knowledge into the industry so from the very start of the process, we were able to demonstrate results and continue to strengthen our ties with the organisation. Kathryn commented on the project, saying that ‘the organisation has a very strong culture throughout, from HR to the Hiring Managers’. She added that as ‘they are very easy to work with, the whole process was enjoyable on all sides’.
