Job Description

My client, a transportation and services business with over 30,000 employees globally, is looking for a Safety specialist to come on board and help create a standardised Employee Safety workbook. This workbook should be applicable to all sites (approx. 140 sites globally) to ensure safety standards to the fullest across all regions.


Main responsibilities:

  • Define, deploy and update the global employee health and safety strategies and standards
  • Align global standards with other safety measures and operations
  • Implement and review KPI's for the different regions
  • Set up global safety conferences with best practice sharing
  • On-site investigations and root cause analysis
  • Set up the global safety performance report following a review of the global accident documentation


Skills and Experience needed:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical background
  • Safety certificate highly preferred (e.g. Fachkraft fuer Arbeitssicherheit in Germany, NEBOSH Diploma in UK, etc.)
  • Practical risk evaluation, safety assessment, training skills needed
  • Root cause analysis and accident investigation
  • Basic knowledge about OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 welcomed
  • cultural awareness, communication/presentation/motivational skills needed
  • Fluent English, German is a plus
