Our retained, growing Insurance client is looking to bring on a Director of Program and Portfolio Management to oversee several business units. Recently, they have noticed a need to add additional senior leadership to support th business. The Director of Program and Portfolio Management will develop and manage strategic roadmap, define budget, insure successful completion of projects,and mentor and coach managers in the business.
You will lead a US based team spread across the 4 business unit locations in Southern California, Florida and the Washington DC area. Underneath your direct Program Management reports will be teams of PM's and BA's who will be driving a number of major projects currently in flight and also on the project charter for 2017.
The business is continuing to develop products and services through Digital channels whilst also thinking about transformation activities including Automation, Lean Management and generic people change management activities.
Reporting directly to the regional COO, you'll also have key stakeholders who are MD's of the specific business units and therefore you'll need to have the gravitas to operate at C-suite whilst also being able to articulate the strategic plans that you will develop and hopefully gain project funding and budgets.
Due to the nature of the business being a flat / autonomous structure, this role is 50% strategy and 50% execution focused.
