This role is the project portfolio partner of the Insurance group business line management team, driving the definition, prioritization and execution of initiatives supporting the business line’s strategic growth, and aligning necessary resources.
You will manage a portfolio of projects, handles complex technology projects (web/mobile), manage a team of project management staff, drive standardization of project management best practices, effectively communicate with stakeholders, leaders and executives as well as manage high profile projects and initiatives, and promoteprofessional growth among team members.
Duties also include management of requests and maintenance that support day-to-day operational needs. This role assists with developing the business Case and ROI for new potential requests, and anticipates resource needs through the budget process.
This role requires analysis and resolution of complex business problems via process improvement, technology system solutions and execution of proven project management methodology.
Success factors are collaboration with business stakeholders in the creation, management and execution of annual project Roadmaps, in addition to leading project management staff, which may include one or more of the following: Business Analysts, Project Managers, Quality Assurance staff and others responsible for the management of projects and system implementation for the supported line of business.
• Effectively manage and report on the portfolio of program activities across the business line, driven through dashboards / KPI's
• Initiate standardization of Project Management methodologies and tools used across regional hubs
• Facilitate and lead change activities of the global portfolio by driving activities other group companies.
