Your role as a Programme Director will allow this growing technology services business to continue to transform and change its business operations to align with innovation and its client centric business and consumer products. Based in the UK with stakeholders in the UK and EMEA, you’ll be responsible for personally overseeing a portfolio of £10-50m sized programmes and projects. You will be managing a team of Programme and Project Managers ensuring the delivery and accountability of their work.
In addition to the oversight and management of people, you’ll also need operate as a Delivery Partner to a specific Business Unit president for the firm and this will include working strategically to advise the BU on the direction of the business growth.
You will ideally have demonstrable experience of delivery excellence in the areas of business technology and data services for B2C and B2B channels as well as being well versed in new technologies like automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to allow clients to make the right business decisions.
Key deliverables for the role will be :-
- Ensuring Delivery Excellence of the programme portfolio:- you'll be leading the largest, most complex change programmes for the business which will be 10-50/70m in size with multi year deliverables
- Leadership of the project and programme management team:- mentoring and coaching the team members and being responsible for annual appraisal processes and development plans. Additionally, you'll be overseeing the portfolio of work and will need to step in with issues/resolution management.
- Being a client partner to the leadership team within the region and ensuring you have the right technical understanding of the where the business is going and how the change project portfolio will support them
Key Skills and background
Strong background in a head of change / head of Programme Management organisation role
Ability to lead £10m+ programme of work yourself ensuring exceptional delivery of the workstreams
Effective leadership, coordination, motivation and experience of working at C-suite level with clients and internally
Exceptional ability to manage relationships whilst maintaining trusted relationship with team and peers
Strong understanding of business requirements / technical limitations as determined by the client organisation's systems and processes
Background in Financial Services, Technology, Data Management / Data Analytics experiences
Ability to travel weekly for long periods of time
