Job Description

Our client has been in operation for over 100 years, during this time they have grown into one of the world's leading logistics providers, and now have more than 1,200 offices in over 100 countries, with approximately 70,000 employees.

This is a global role that will require high levels of travel across Europe and the world. 

Candidates may be based in the United Kingdom, Germany or the Netherlands but must have German language skills as a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities & Experience Required:

Strategy :

Standardisation of the their Production System Methods into all regions.

Continuous assessment of the requirements from customers for deployments.

Development of MBB's (technical skills ) into the regions.

Supporting the development of the Production System Methods in line with standardised Bronze, Silver and Gold maturity levels.

Working closely with regional leaders and the deployment of this strategy throughout the regions.

Liaison with Operational management within the regions working closely with all regional Leaders.

Training and Product development :

Coaching and support to Regional PS leaders and managers.

Master trainer responsibility for providing regional training support.

Internalisation of training within (MBB, BB , GB, Operational Foundations)

Technical and strategic support for regions.

Leading the development of Operational Leaders knowledge.

Accountability for the management and development of the body of knowledge including development of MBB training materials.

Training of BB & GB in startup regions or regions where additional support maybe required.

Experience :

Educated to degree standard or the equivalent experience.

At least 5 years’ experience as either a BB and MBB (2yrs as MBB minimum) or a BB in a Senior Leadership role.

Logistics or Service Sector experience preferred.

Can demonstrate experience as a coach, mentor and leader of non-direct reports Leadership and Behaviors.

Demonstrates a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to energise and inspire others.

Excellent communication and inter personal skills.

Strategic focus as this is a corporate global role.

Self starter with ability to work on own initiative.

Be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and under stress.

Show leadership and motivational capabilities and the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Technical Abilities:

Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Negotiation skills.

Experience in the delivery of lean six sigma and continuous improvement programmes.

Can demonstrate a rounded business acumen including P & L management and budgeting.

Advanced skills in MS office tools including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS project and MS Visio.

An advanced level Minitab user version 14 or above.
