Our client is a leading Investment Management organization that has been providing excellent services to their clients for over three decades. 

Our client is looking for a Head of Business Process Excellence Manager that will take a new approach to their business and deliver options that better align with their Client/Advisers changing needs and preferences.  Our client must continue to transform to align with the transformation of the market, Client/Advisor relationships and the growth of low cost investment options.

The position will direct a wide variety of Lean Six Sigma improvement projects that are cross functional and inter-departmental. They will work extensively with senior leaders to identify gaps and opportunities and apply frameworks that fundamentally transform both front and back office functions. Ultimately leading to a transformation journey intent on deepening and extending this transformation to achieve operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications  

  • 10 + years’ enterprise level experience leading transformation programs for client facing organizations and or functional groups (in industry) or commensurate experience in consultancy
  • Transformation management at a senior level; including a successful track record of implementing large scale workflow solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop robust methodologies and approaches that relate to primary productivity strategies such as business model optimization, organizational productivity and process productivity


  • Influence senior stakeholders to adopt best practices and to collaborate as a leadership group to transform the client experience through improving operational excellence while demonstrating thought leadership and a commitment to the strategy. 
  • Identify opportunities for Operational Excellence to be a core competency and an ongoing, sustainable way of improving business by defining a pragmatic way of implementing the strategy effectively, working closely with leaders and by using the experience of similar situations to challenge the organisation to improve operational capability and performance where necessary. 
  • Drives a culture of Advisor/Client focus, data-driven decision-making, ownership of processes, operational metrics and continuous improvement while formulating guidelines. Promote leadership and collaboration while creating and delivering a communication and coaching plan to develop the understanding of Operational Excellence and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt accredited (or MBB … must be demonstrated with certification and significant enterprise wide project delivery). 
  2. Highly proficient in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologyUndergraduate Degree required (preferably in engineering, finance, IT, business or marketing) Advanced degree preferred
  3. 10 + years’ enterprise level experience leading transformation programs for client facing organizations and or functional groups (in industry) or commensurate experience in consultancy 
  4. A trusted adviser to senior leaders on the following topics: Operational redesign, G&A cost reduction, Enterprise Workflow and Imaging, Business Process Management (BPM), SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) Theory and Practice, process optimization, continuous improvement, service delivery effectiveness and productivity improvement
