Job Description

Pacific International is engaged with a leading professional services firm to support the build-out of their PMO delivery team at Manager level. This will cover the UK & Ireland.

A Great opportunity to develop client-facing consulting experience across a wide variety of industries lines, ranging from Financial Services and Insurance to Manufacturing, production and more.

The right candidate for this role will be someone who can operate with credibility, coming from experience who will excel in working across different complex change programmes and can form relationships at all levels within an organization.

Within the first 12 months, you should expect to spend time on client site, leading on delivery under the guidance of the Partner, you will be a part of a team with direct task line management to ensure delivery. Progression is imperative for my client and there will be objectives put in place for you to work towards a promotion, up to Director.


What you will be responsible for:

Supporting the design, implementation and development of project, programme or portfolio management offices
Drafting and reviewing project progress reports
Leading on processes around identification, mapping and management of RAID in relation to the programme.
Managing/maintaining project assets ensuring documentation is kept up to date and facilitating communication.
Mentoring and managing less experienced project team members.
Advisory to hands-on delivery across every stage of the transformation lifecycle.


Suitable candidates will have:

5+ years’ experience of managing the delivery of project different types of complex projects, across multiple sectors and industries.
Experience of assisting with the design and development of a PMO from the ground up.
Project / Programme management qualification, for example, Prince 2, MoP with an understanding of other methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Lean)
Experience of progress reporting and risk management;
Experience with preparation of programme/project initiation, Budgets & business cases
Excellent communication and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders & project team members
Ability to work independently, take initiative and cope with tight deadlines.


The role will include travel to client sites across the UK & Ireland.
