Our client is the world leader in the manufacturing and packaging industry with approx. $10bn USD turnover and over 20,000 employees worldwide across 150+ countries. For one of their biggest manufacturing plants in the US, a service line with around 1000 FTE, they are looking for an experienced quality and lean expert to be based in North Texas.
In the role as the Quality Assurance Manager for the whole plant, you will be responsible for directing the Quality Assurance system alongside establishing an effective Quality Management System (QMS) and being a continuous improvement champion for the organization. The company is looking for an individual who will show initiative and implement Quality Improvement activities to raise the performance of the Business unit’s product lines, provide strategic direction and leadership for QMS implementation for the facility.
The Quality Manager position reports directly into the Plant Manager and operates with the global quality team given the strategic importance of the position.
Background / Key Skills
- 5+ years experience in QA systems implementation and management in a medium size manufacturing environment
- Strong background in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt preferred)
- Ideally an academic background in Quality, Math, Chemistry, Engineering or Statistics
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities
